We love to get close to nature whenever possible. Georgie’s done a number of group hikes and I’ve opted for more ‘comfortable’ camping over the years. Not ‘glamping’ as such, but a tent that one can stand and stretch out in. Something far more palatial than a hiking tent shared with 3 other people.
Camping for me includes a Weber Baby Q, ample solar panels and battery packs to power a laptop, bluetooth speaker, phone, lighting, good food and COFFEE. I’m definitely more comfortable in phone and internet-connected areas. It’s not that I need to perpetually check in with civilization but I do like to know that we can be contacted easily in the case of an emergency. Anyway, we’ve been on a few mother-daughter camping trips over the years containing a number of trials and tribulations – some funny, others, not so much. But we’ve always arrived home feeling grateful for the experience.
